Six routes, one measuring standard

A three-night banya stay and a seven-night ridge traverse are described here in the same columns, so you can compare them without translating between formats.

Departures run May to October. Springs above 900 m open later in the season, and mountain road access decides which of the six routes can be joined on a given week. Every route below lists its own season window, its elevation band and the springs it actually reaches on foot.

These are leisure travel programmes that combine spring water, walking and traditional bathing. They are not medical treatment and no route is sold as a cure.

Elevation band
570 to 1,180 m, measured at the highest spring on the walking day
Outlet temperature
14 to 18 °C at source, recorded on the route survey
Water figures
Total dissolved solids in ppm, dominant ions listed per spring
Ritual time
Minutes per ritual, with intensity and what to bring
Price basis
Per person at double occupancy, single supplement stated separately

Deposit, balance due date and the mandatory local tourist tax are printed in full in the price breakdown. Nothing is added at checkout.

Mineral spring outlet piped into a stone basin above a Carpathian village, with a survey tape beside it
Spring outlet above a village on the Uzhhorod survey line, May. Every route in the ledger is measured at the outlet, not at the bathing pool.

Elevations are given in metres above sea level. Springs above 900 m open later in the season and mountain roads can close after heavy rain, so departure dates in the shoulder weeks are confirmed two weeks ahead. These tours are leisure travel and are not medical treatment. Prices are per person at double occupancy; the price breakdown sets out every line.

04 Spring composition

What comes out of the ground, measured

Each route in the ledger draws on named springs. Source temperature, total dissolved solids, dominant ions and elevation are listed as sampled, so the routes can be compared on numbers before any booking decision.
